Although technically this standard has been superseded by EN 1063, BS 5051 has been the benchmark within the UK for many years. The specification includes a standard for bullet resistant glazing for hand guns, classified as GO, G1, G2, rifle specifications are classed R1 and R2  and Shotgun as S86.
